From Project to Project

So this past week or so has been an interesting time as we've been doing lots of little things that go towards many different projects, which is exciting but also requires staying on top of our to-do lists and diaries.

Stoke-On-Trent College:

  • Recently, we spoke to some students from S-O-T College about work experience and opportunities of getting involved with Centre Space Arts.

  • We spoke to two students who have been eager to be a part of the different events we have planned for this year.

  • Both students are very open and wanting to expand their skills in different areas, which is great because it means we can look at different strengths and tasks for each person.

Bomb50 Legacy Planning:

  • We've been meeting up with Alex regularly, along with Clare White and Dave Morrall to layout plans and goals going towards the Bomb Legacy.

  • We've been looking at creating fresh and regular zines that explore different events around the city.

  • Benchnotes are already coming together well, by creating 'benches', wherever they can, when creating and networking - for example, turning a Piano into a bench for a brainstorming session during a networking meeting.

  • We finally went to the amazing local bookshop Vellichor, where a a small group of us met up to discuss Bomb ideas and more; it was a whirlwind and relaxed meeting all in one go and it was great! Also, it is a great bookshop to go and sit down with a hot drink and a book, definitely recommend it.

Among these key regular meetings, we have been plotting for our other events, such as the photography project with David Fletcher and Sarah Peart. We've also been in talks with our friends Mo and Kelvin, connecting them and talking potential podcasts and music project inspiration. In addition to all f this, we are collaborating with the Smithfield Works (Hanley), which is where we are based to set up a Hotdesking Day, along with some more fun events to come soon, so keep an eye out for more info. So as you can tell, we've been up to all sorts of mischief, so we've been making sure our crazy pigeons and ducks are all in a row.
